Obituary of Joseph Thank

Nags Head, NC Joseph Francis Thank, Jr., died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC. Mr. Thank was born September 27, 1926 in Wallace, Idaho. He was the son of the late Joseph Francis Thank, Sr. and Jean Brown Thank. Mr. Thank was a veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post 26, and the Knights of Columbus. He was an active participant in the Outer Banks Senior Games and a member of the YMCA. Mr. Thank was and employee of the Federal Government in Washington, DC before retiring to Nags Head, NC in 1986. He was an avid fisherman and was often sighted riding on his Harley Davidson. Mr. Thank was the beloved husband of Margaret Hunley Thank, his wife of 53 years; father of Pam of Oakland, MD; grandfather of Julie M. Caruso of Raleigh, NC and Christopher W. Stover of Oakland, MD. Services will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kitty Hawk, NC on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11:00 am with Father Joseph Klaus officiating.
