Obituary of Arrie Wilson

Hertford, NC Arrie Lee Wilson, age 75, of 1005 Woodville Road, Hertford, NC, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in the Albemarle Hospital. He born in Pasquotank County, NC, son of the late John ‘Jack’ Lewis Wilson, and Margaret Ivey Wilson, and was the husband of the late Alice Gertrude Bundy Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a retired farmer and he was a Baptist. He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Sawyer and Connie Duncan both of Hertford, NC; and Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Miller of Chesapeake, VA; one son, Lee Wilson of Hertford, NC; three sisters, Lottie Lamb and Gertrude Colson both of Hertford, NC, and Nell Jordan of Richmond, VA; one brother, John Wilson of Elizabeth City, NC; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Lizzie Peele, Evelyn Eure, Grace Barnes and Lina Smithwick; and three brothers, Elbert Wilson, Wilbert Wilson, and Raymond Ivey. A funeral service will be Monday, April 12, 2004, at 2:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Max Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of the daughter, Margaret Sawyer, 987 Woodville Road, Hertford, NC. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E.
