Obituary of Marshall W. Sanderlin, Jr.

MANTEO, NC MARSHALL WILLIAM SANDERLIN, JR., 62, of Manteo, NC died Monday, May 10, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Sanderlin, born in Manteo, was a retired commercial fisherman and a member of Roanoke Island Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Marshall William Sanderlin, Sr. and the late Georgia Aydlette Sanderlin. Mr. Sanderlin is survived by his wife, Jean Bennett Sanderlin of the residence; three daughters, Patty McCarter of Manteo, NC, Charlotte Sanderlin of Raleigh, NC, and Barbara Cahoon of Severna Park, MD; one son, David William Sanderlin of Manteo, NC; a sister, Connie Etheridge of Columbia, SC; three brothers, Robert Sanderlin of Wanchese, NC, Larry Sanderlin of Manteo, NC and Horace Ray Sanderlin of Wanchese, NC; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Roanoke Island Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Daniel Crisman officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
