Obituary of Ronald Austin

RONALD B. AUSTIN Hatteras, NC ‘ Ronald (Big- Boy) Austin, 71, passed away quietly surrounded by family Monday, May 10th, 2004. Mr. Austin retired from the Coast Guard after 20 years of service, then worked as a ferry captain for the state of North Carolina in Hatteras. Mr. Austin is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dixie Gray Austin; daughters Mona Farrow of Buxton, Cathy Sears of Virginia Beach, Dewanna Williams of Corapeake, Delores Austin of Moyock; brothers Aubrey Austin of Greenville, and his twin Donald (Little-Boy) Austin; Ten grandchildren and Two great grandchildren. His son Ronald Austin Jr. precedes him in death. A graveside service will be held at the Austin Family Cemetery, Hatteras, NC on Friday May 14th, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dwight Burris officiating.
