Obituary of Elsie Donath

Elsie Engber Donath Native of Columbus, OH Mrs. Elsie Engber Donath, age 84, of formerly of Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mrs. Donath, a native of Columbus, OH, was the widow of Roland William Donath and the daughter of the late Michael Engber and Susan Benning Engber. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Donath is survived by a daughter, Carol Dillon and her husband, Carl of Elizabeth City, NC; a son Robert Donath and his wife, Jayne of Charlotte, NC; a brother Martin Engber and his wife, Lorraine of KS, six grandsons; and one great granddaughter. A funeral service will be Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence of the daughter, 1018 Hockmeyer Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.
