SAMUEL LEON CLIVER III
VIRGINIA BEACH ‘ Samuel Leon Cliver III, 65, passed away June 1st, 2004 in Chesapeake General Hospital. A native of Natick, NJ. , Sam retired from the Navy after 26 years. He was a founding father of the SouthEast Mustang Club and was just made a lifetime member. He also belonged to the VFW#1211, DAV, American Legion, a CB Club, the Creeds Ruitan Club, and was a lifetime member of the Blackwater Volunteer Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his very devoted wife, Sylvia and his mother, Alice Bremer; his step children Pamela and Bill Vogel, Marie and John Jenness, Melody Elliott, Anthony and Cindy Cutrell, Linda and Bobby Riffle, Butch Coker; brothers Richard and Paulette Bremer, Craig and Pam Bremer.
The family will be at Twifords Funeral Home, 929 South Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake Thursday June 3th, 2004 from 6:00 ‘8:00 PM; other times at 6528 Blackwater Rd, Virginia Beach, Va. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 4th, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Blackwater Baptist Cemetery, 6000 Blackwater Rd., Virginia Beach, Va. with the Reverend Mike Jones and the Reverend Wesley Baum officiating, and full military honors.
Sam was very proud of his military service in the United States Navy and his Rescue Squad service. He loved his Mustangs and racing; His favorite driver was always Bill Elliott.
