Obituary of Chris Wingenroth

Nags Head, NC Chris Cusano Wingenroth, 42, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Wingenroth was born in Ephrata, PA and graduated from Rolling Road School in Maryland. Prior to his illness, Chris was a resident of the Dare County Group Home in Manteo for 10 years and participated in A.D.A.P., also located in Manteo. He was a member of the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. He was the son of Vernon C. and Gloria M. Wingenroth of Nags Head. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Michael C. Wingenroth and wife, Theresa of Kill Devil Hills and Jeffrey L. Wingenroth and his wife, Susanna of Cape Coral, FL; four nieces, Kristen, Lauren, Leah, Emily and one nephew, Jordan. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Spotswood Graves and Rev. Richard Stone officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colony Chapel on Monday, June 28th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 900, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Headquarters, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718-3208. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
