Obituary of Wink Hoffman

Winfred O. ‘Wink’ Hoffman, 72, of 615 Pitts Chapel Road, Elizabeth City died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Fred Erwin and Glennie Lewis Hoffman and was the husband of Frances Gray Hoffman. He was a retired police officer with the City of Elizabeth City having served the city for 25 year and also was a former employee of Ambrose Furniture Company. Besides his wife, Mr. Hoffman is survived by two sons, Steve Erwin Hoffman and wife, Yvonne, of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Paul Glenn Hoffman and wife, Tammy, of Elizabeth City, NC, one sister, Ella H. Cosgrove of Elizabeth City, one brother, Karl Lee Hoffman of Glen Burnie, MD; three grandchildren, Lindsay Erin Hoffman, Caitlin Hoffman, and Hanna Alice Hoffman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Erwin Hoffman, Jr. and Rudolph H. ‘Rudy’ Hoffman. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at 11:00am in the Twiford’s Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the chapel service and at other times at the residence. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E.
