Obituary of Diana “Dee Dee” James

James Manteo, NC Diana Dean ‘Dee Dee’ James, 59, of Manteo, NC died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Chesapeake General Hospital. She was born in Washington D.C. to the late James Edward and Clara Sanderlin James. She was a librarian at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, a member of St. Andrews By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, and a member of the Parrothead Club. Ms. James is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Claire Wilson of Richmond, VA and Allison Dean Haynes of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward ‘Laddie’ James, Jr. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews By-the-Sea Episcopal Church by the Rev. Charles E.B. Gill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, P.O. Box 967, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC is in charge of arrangements.
