Obituary of Mary Schultheiss

Mary Evelyn Jackson Schultheiss Hertford, N. C. Mary Evelyn Jackson Schultheiss, age 66, of 140 Hemlock Street Snug Harbor Community of Hertford, N.C., died Friday morning at her residence. Mrs. Schultheiss was born in the Shiloh community of Camden County, and was the daughter of the late William Walter and Nellie Inez Scott Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Larry Schultheiss, Sr., on June 13, 2004, her granddaughter Holly Ann Evans in 1996, and one sister Helen Lee J. Sass. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabeth City, N.C., and was a retired Child Nutrition Assistant from the Perquimans County School System. She is survived by one son Larry Schultheiss, Jr., of Hertford, N.C.; two daughters Brenda S. Payne and her husband James and Lisa S. Evans and her husband Scott both of Hertford, N.C.; four grandchildren Chad Chappell, Nicole Ambrose, Lee Anne Evans and Hunter Evans; one sister Norma Jean J. Kellis of Fort Thomas, Kentucky. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday July 12, 2004, at 1:00 P. M. at Highland Park Cemetery in Elizabeth City with Chaplin Doug Simons officiating. The family will join friends Sunday evening from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Twiford Funeral Home 405 East Church Street Elizabeth City and other times at her home.
