Obituary of Kenneth Oden

ODEN HATTERAS, NC KENNETH WADE ODEN, 58, of Hatteras, died, Monday, July 12, 2004 after a short illness. He is survived by his mother and father, Carlos Desmond and Josephine Austin Oden of Hatteras, a brother Jeff Oden and his wife Katie, also of Hatteras and their daughter Marci. Kenneth was a member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church, Cape Hatteras Masonic Lodge # 698 AF&AM and an co-owner/manager of the Sea Gull Motel in Hatteras. Though he was little in stature, he left some mighty big footprints as can be attested to by his many friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, July 15, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hatteras United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles Moseley and Dwight Burrus. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hatteras United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 310, Hatteras, N.C. 27943 or The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Hatteras, N.C. 27943.
