Obituary of Ruth Heck

Nags Head Ruth Kreiger Heck, 87, died on Monday, July 12, 2004 at Britthaven Nursing Home. Mrs. Heck was born in Tioga, PA and was a homemaker. She was a protestant and a member of the Eastern Star in PA. Mrs. Heck was the daughter of the late Frederick Kreiger and the late Rena McCann Kreiger and the widow of James Arlington Heck. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Treat and husband Thomas of Tioga, PA and Arlene Randall and husband Wayne of Kill Devil Hills; four grandchildren, James Treat and wife Kim of Fayetteville, GA, Edward Treat and wife Sue of Cyclone, PA, Douglas Hughes and wife Heather of Florida, and Aimee Demasi and husband Peter of Florida; seven great-grandchildren, Allyson James, Thomas James, Kate Treat, Emily Treat, Adian Hughes and Gabriel Demasi, and Meagan Demasi; 10 nieces and one nephew.one sister-in-law, Freda Weller of Blossburg, PA; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Irvin and Jean Paris; A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilston Funeral Home in Mansfield, PA on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Bishop Vanderheil officiating. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Tioga, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
