Obituary of Carter Margareni

Margareni S. Carter Mrs. Margareni Shafer Carter, age 80, 3907 Caratoke Highway, Currituck, NC, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Sentara Barco Nursing Home. Mrs Carter, was born in Atlantic City, NJ; daughter of the late William Shafer and Margerite Elaine Hall Shafer and was the widow of Edward R. Carter, Sr.. Mrs. Carter is survived by a daughter, Diane Wallace, and husband Timothy of Jarvisburg, NC; a son, Edward R. Carter, Jr., of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Laura V. Bowman of Florida; and three grandchildren, Ronnie G. Baker, Jr., Codie Baker, and Tina Maire Carter. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth, VA, with the Rev. Rev. Johnny McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, 929 Battlefield Blvd. South, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
