Obituary of Elvira Cox

Camden, NC Elvira Hudson Cox, age 79, of 130 Sand Hills Road, Camden, NC, died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was a native of Hyde County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Leland Hudson and Lillian Lorena Gibbs, and was the wife of the late Mark Elmer Cox. Mrs. Cox was former owner and operator of Cox Grocery, and was a member of Camden Church of Christ. She is survived by one son, Lee Cox of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Delores Harless of Camden, NC, and Stella Knabe and her husband Allen of WI; two grandchildren, Brandon and Kristen Cox. A funeral service will be Sunday, August 15, 2004, at 3:00 PM in the Camden Church of Christ with Minister Mike McNamara officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
