Obituary of Rita Vandervoort

Clifton, VA Rita Waldron Vandervoort, 85, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 while vacationing with her family in Avon. She was born in East Orange, NJ and was a retired secretary for City Service Oil Company. Mrs. Vandervoort was a member of St. Mary’s of Sorrows Catholic Church in Fairfax, VA. She was the daughter of the late Michael Waldron and the late Margaret Waldron and the widow of Warren Francis Vandervoort. She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Murphy and husband John of Clifton, VA; one son Keith Francis Vandervoort and wife Judy of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s of Sorrows Catholic Church on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
