Obituary of Janet Lynn McCaskill

Wanchese, NC Janet Lynn Caudill McCaskill, 46, died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at her residence. She was born in Sparta, NC and was a retired mate on the Hobo Charter Fishing Boat. Mrs. McCaskill attended Wanchese Assembly of God and Manteo Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Clay Franklin Caudill and the late Pearl Upchurch Caudill and the wife of John Stephen McCaskill of the home. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mary Lorrain ‘Rainnie’ McCaskill of the home; four brothers, Timothy George Caudill of Nags Head, Phillip Cleave Caudill of Knotts Island, NC, Jerry Clay Caudill of Kings Mountain, NC and Dale Franklin Caudill of Boone; her in-laws, James T. and Mary C. Jones of Winston Salem. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wanchese Assembly of God on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 3:00 PM with Dr. David Dalton officiating. Burial will take place in the Whitehead-Joines Cemetery in Sparta, NC. The family will receive friends at the church for a time of fellowship immediately following the service and at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wanchese Assembly of God, P.O. Box 201, Wanchese, NC 27981. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
