Obituary of Emily Reid

EMILY MAUDE PRITCHARD REID, 88, of Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday morning, September 12, 2004, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was a native of Pasquotank County, daughter of the late Percy A. and Mrs. Mary Brite Pritchard, and the widow of Wilson Edward ‘Joe’ Reid. Mrs. Reid was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo Blake and husband Jerry, of Shelby, NC, and Billie Anne Winslow and husband Jimmie, of Elizabeth City, NC, one son, Wilson E. Reid Jr., of Edenton, NC; one sister, Janice Seymour of Camden, NC; one brother, Dr. William F. Pritchard of Greenville, NC; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Susanne Reid. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, September 14, 2004, at 2:00 o’clock in the Corinth Baptist Church by Dr. Roy Head. A private burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
