Obituary of Alan Hooper

Springfield, VA Alan McBride Hooper, age 74, of 6133 Roxbury Avenue, Springfield, VA, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at his residence. He was a native of Elizabeth City, NC, and was son of the late Arthur M. Hooper and Annie Patrick Hooper. He was the husband of Ina Ruth Moore Hooper of the residence. He was a retired auditor with US Government. He was a graduate of Elizabeth City High School, and in 1959 he graduated from East Carolina University. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer E. Hooper of Springfield, VA; three sons, Arthur McBride Hooper and his wife Gayle of Springfield, VA, Robert Alan Hooper of Springfield, VA, and Jeremy C. Hooper of Tampa, FL; one granddaughter, Aubrey Hooper and one grandson, Jordan Hooper. A funeral service will be Monday, September 20, 2004, at 10:30 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dustin Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.
