Obituary of Dennis Cullipher

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC DENNIS GRADY CULLIPHER, 78, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, died Friday, September 17, 2004 in the Outer Banks Hospital, Nags Head. Mr. Cullipher, born in Columbia, NC, was a retired Truck Driver with Nu-Car Carriers for 29 years. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Columbia, NC, the Manteo Masonic Lodge # 521, Scottish Rite and Sudan Temple, Newbern, NC, an honorary member of Khedive Temple, Arab Patrol, Norfolk, VA. He was a lifetime member and Past President of Dare County Shrine Club, Past President, Past Vice President and Past Recording Secretary (2 terms) of U.A.W. Local #273, Norfolk, VA, and longtime member of Tunis Hunt Club, Ahoskie, NC. Mr. Cullipher was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Iva Sutton Cullipher and was also preceded in death by a sister, Iona Holt and a brother, Harvey Cullipher. He is survived by three daughters, Carol Rawls and Joan Canipe of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Denise Jones of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Juddy Cullipher of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Pitsch officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dare County Home Health and Hospice, POB 1000, Manteo, NC 27954, the Manteo Masonic Lodge # 521, 301 Virginia Dare Rd., Manteo, NC 27954, or the charity of your choice.
