Obituary of John Wiley

JOHN LEWIS WILEY, JR Native of Norfolk, VA John Lewis Wiley, Jr., 64, of 5976-A Caratoke Highway, Poplar Branch, NC died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Sentara Hospital, Hampton VA. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Mrs. Virginia Lee Ocheltree Everett of Poplar Branch, NC and the late John Lewis Wiley. Mr. Wiley retired as a commercial boat captain, and a member of Congregational Christian Church in Norfolk, VA. Besides his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Donna Miller of Lake Stevens, Washington, Bonnie Jones of Norfolk, VA, and Pam Adamson of Philadelphia, PA; one son, Richard Wiley of Suffolk, VA; a sister, Katherine Ross of Poplar Branch, NC; three grandchildren. Also, he is survived by a very special best friend, Theresa Johnson of Hampton, VA. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred Everett. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 27, 2004, at 2:00pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, by Rev. Glen McCraine. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Branch, NC.
