Obituary of Frances Border

Frances Jean Border Chesapeake ‘ Frances Jean Border, 73, died September 25, 2004 at Chesapeake General Hospital. Mrs. Border was born in Giles, W.V. to the late Roy Virgil and Bertie Alice Spaulding Adkins. She was an avid Golfer and Tennis player at Greenbrier Country Club. Survivors include her husband, George Freer Border; three sons, Gary Lee Border and wife Julie Ann of Atlanta, GA, Grieg Freer Border and wife Rita Dawn of Wilmington, NC, and Joe Joe Border and wife Debrah of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, Jack Donald Adkins of Ohley, W.V.; six grandchildren, Christopher, Scott, Candice, Shaun, Jennifer, and Jamison; and one great grandchild, Camron. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Tue from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday at 11:30 am with a service of remembrance immediately following.
