Obituary of Tony Johnson

Tony Dean Johnson Native of Norfolk, VA Tony Dean Johnson, age 45, of 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at the Hampton Veteran’s Hospital. Mr. Johnson, a native of Norfolk, VA, was the son of the late Thomas Demar Johnson and Vivian Scott Johnson. He was a carpenter, a US Army Veteran, a member of the Paralyzed Veteran’s of American, the 2002 Winter Speical Olympics, and a Baptist. Mr. Johnson is survived by a son, Bryan Johnson, of USS Ponce (LPD-15), a sister, Dawn Johnson of South Mills, NC, two brothers, Ted Johnson of Buffalo, NY, and Kenny Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC, and the mother of his children, Nila Curry Johnson of Moyock, NC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sabrina Michelle Johnson. A memorial service will be Sunday, October 10, 2004, at 3:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC with the Rev. Glenn McCrainne officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of Nila Johnson, 130 Tuggle Road, Moyock, NC, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 9. You may sign the online register at www.twifordfh.com.
