Obituary of Martha Ferrell

Martha Elaine Futrell Ferrell Native of Murfressboro, NC Martha Elaine Futrell Ferrell, age 75, of 3907 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at Barco Sentara Nursing Center. She was born in Murfressboro, NC, wife of Richard Homer Ferrell, Sr., and the daughter of the late Obid and Myra Benthall Futrell. She was a graduate of Meredith College, a member of Moyock United Methodist Church, and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, as well as she loved to cook and read books. Besides her husband, Mrs. Ferrell is survived by a daughter, Nancy F. Twiford of Currituck, NC; a son William ‘Billy’ Earl Ferrell and wife Kim of Jarvisburg, NC; a sister, Marilyn Midgett of Rodanthe, NC; a brother, Billy Futrell, of Murfressboro, NC, and four grandchildren. Mrs. Ferrell was preceded in death by a son, Richard H. Ferrell, Jr.. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2004 at 2:00 pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Pastor Victor Culberson officiating. Burial will be in Moyock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 and after the service in the lobby of the funeral home and at other times at the residence of the son, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ferrell, 384 Jarvisburg Road, Jarvisburg, NC.
