Obituary of Joseph Wayne Gaskill

GASKILL OCRACOKE, NC JOSEPH WAYNE GASKILL, SR, 58, of Ocracoke, died, Saturday, October 9, 2004, in Nags Head. Mr. Gaskill was born in Ocracoke and was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation Ferry Division with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Ocracoke United Methodist Church and served with the Hyde County Emergency Management. He was the son of the late James Lumley and Daisy Styron Gaskill and husband of Linda Gaskins Gaskill of Ocracoke. Beside his wife surviving are a son; Joseph Wayne Gaskill, Jr of Ocracoke, a brother; James Barrie Gaskill of Ocracoke and Beaufort and grandchildren; Emmalee Gaskill and Morghan Daisy Gaskill. Mr. Gaskill was pre-deceased by his sister Wanda Lee Gaskill. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Ocracoke United Methodist Church, Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. John White. Burial will be in the Ocean View Cemetery in Beaufort. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ocracoke Assembly of God or the Ocracoke United Methodist Church.
