Obituary of Katherine Jernigan

Katherine Davis Jernigan Native of St. Louis, MO Katherine Davis Jernigan, age 80, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Albemarle Hospital. She was born in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late James Timothy and Nettie Pinner Davis and the widow of the late William Carl Jernigan. Mrs. Jernigan is survived by a daughter, Bonnie J. Banks and husband Octavis of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, James W. Jernigan and wife Kathy and Phillip Jernigan and wife Bonnie both of Elizabeth City, NC; a brother, Jimmy Davis of Charleston, WV; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 11:00 am in New Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church, Elizabeth City, NC, is assisting the Jernigan family.
