Obituary of Betty H. Porter
Betty Hilton Porter, 82, passed away quietly after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “J.C.” Porter. She is survived by a son, Ted Porter of Newport News; a daughter, Patricia McNair of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Helen Ramsey of Winston-Salem, N.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 1 p.m.
