Obituary of Linda Midgette

MIDGETTE HATTERAS, NC LINDA BURRUS MIDGETTE, 80, died, Saturday, October 16, 2004, in Elizabeth City. Mrs. Midgette was born in Hatteras and was a homemaker and member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter, Juneau, Alaska. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Violet Willis Burrus and the wife of the late Edward B. Midgette. Surviving are a daughter, Linda M. Dugan of Virginia Beach and a son, Wayne Midgette of Buxton, a sister, Ola Austin of Manteo and grandchildren, Marci Oden, Monica Midgette, Scott Midgette and great grandchild Benjamin Midgette. Mrs. Midgette was pre-deceased by her son Michael Boyd Midgette. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Buxton United Methodist Church Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Charles Moseley and Rev. Dwight Burrus. Entombment will be in Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the home of her son Wayne Midgette 47275 Dippin Vat Road in Buxton.
