Obituary of Robert Armstong, Jr.

Elizabeth City, NC Robert Roland Armstrong, Jr., age 86, of 896 Berea Church Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004, in Guardian Care Nursing Home. He was a native of Princess Anne County, VA, son of the late Robert R. Armstrong, Sr. and Beatrice A. Armstrong, and was the widower of Nellie Mae Morgan Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong is survived by a son, Melvin Armstrong and wife Janice of Elizabeth City, NC; four grandchildren, Kathy Meads, Bobby Armstrong, Victor Armstrong, and Michael Armstrong; five great grandchildren, a special friend, Elizabeth Hewitt and a special nephew, Marvin Armstrong. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 11:00 am in New Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. F.
