Obituary of Kathleen Nelson

NELSON SOUTHERN SHORES,N.C. KATHLEEN MATERNE NELSON, 51, of Southern Shores, died, Wednesday, October 20, 2004, in her home. Mrs. Nelson was born in Lake Charles, La and was a real estate agent and member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was co-chair of the Outer Banks Food Bank. She was the daughter of the late Carroll and Elizabeth Ann Harvill Materne and the wife of George P.Nelson. Besides her husband surviving are her daughter, Tessa Nelson of the home and her brother, William ‘Bill’ Materne of Davie, Florida. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church by Father Bill Walsh.
