Obituary of Benjamin Ivey

Benjamin T. Ivey, Sr. Newsoms ‘ Benjamin Thomas Ivey, Sr., 75, of Chesapeake passed away October 22. Survivors include daughters Pam Barnhardt of Wilmington, NC, Patti Clayton of Rocksboro, NC, Cindy Wade of Chesapeake, and Penny Ivey of Raleigh, NC, sons Tom Ivey of Chesapeake and Benjamin Preston Ivey of Poquoson, eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a sister, Blanche Semchyshyn of Bridge Water, NJ and a brother, Ralph Ivey of Newsoms. Family and friends will meet at Twifords Funeral Home, 929 South Battlefield Blvd., Saturday, from 7-8 pm. Services will be held on Sunday, October 24, at 1:30 pm at Barnes United Methodist Church in Newsoms, VA, followed by burial at Hollywood Cemetery.
