Obituary of Bernice Pardue

Buxton, NC Bernice Brackett Pardue, 92, of Buxton, NC died Thursday, October 21, 2004 in Chesapeake General Hospital. She was born in Oglethorpe County, GA and was a member of Barton Chapel United Methodist Church and a Registered Nurse with the V.A. Hospital in Augusta, GA. She was the daughter of the late James and Vandora McGlamory Brackett and the widow of Harvey H. Pardue. Mrs. Pardue is survived by a daughter, Diane P. Buckner and husband J.E. of Buxton, NC; a sister, Alwayne Meidinger of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren, Angie Carver and husband Steve of Candler, NC, Tasha Bedwell of Candler, NC, Sharon Fields and husband Frankie of Dalton, GA, and Jacque Hoogerhyde and husband David of McDonough, GA; and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Twiford’s Island Chapel, Hatteras by the Rev. Roger Barnett.
