Obituary of Sidney T. Amandolia, Sr.

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC SIDNEY THOMAS AMANDOLIA, Sr., 83, formerly of Mebane, NC, passed away on October 23, 2004. A graduate of NC State University, he had a long management career in the furniture industry, and honorably served in the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Sid joins his wife of 57 years, Margaret Bryan Amandolia, who departed this earth December 12, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn A. Grant of Kill Devil Hills, and son, S. Thomas Amandolia, Jr. of Durham, his sisters, Dorothy Hoke, Mary Garmon and Bobbie Jo Rivers, brothers, Paul Amandolia and John Amandolia, four grandchildren, twenty-nine nieces and nephews, and a host of loving friends. A memorial service will be held at Mebane United Methodist Church, Mebane, NC, on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 S. Fourth St., Mebane, NC 27302. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with local arrangements.
