Obituary of Willie Lane

Elizabeth City, NC Willie Carrol Lane, age 81, of 309 Jessup Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was a native of Pasquotank County, NC, and was the son of the late James ‘Jim’ Lane, and Eva Gardner Lane. He was the husband of the late Lila Dean Burrus Lane. He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation, Bridge Maintenance. He is survived by one son, Carrol Lane, and his wife Dee of Elizabeth City, NC, and one grandchild. A funeral service will be Saturday, November 6, 2004, at 11:00 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service. At other times the family will be at the son’s residence, 308 Jessup Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
