Obituary of Eddie Smith

Elizabeth City, NC Eddie Archie Smith, Sr., age 71, of 1703 West Main Street, Extended Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at his residence. He was a native of Creswell, VA, and son of the late Lathan Louis Smith, Sr. and Bertie Vanhorn Smith, and was widower of the late Norma Wynn Smith. Mr. Smith served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was formerly employed as a machinist with Metro Machine Company of Norfolk, VA. He is survived by three daughters, Roxanne Smith Morgan of Elizabeth City, NC, Lorrie Smith Summers and Jacqueline Smith Cafferello both of Greenville, NC; one son Eddie Smith, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Norma Gray Cherry of Chesapeake, VA and Clara Sykes of Grandy, NC; one brother, Lathan L. Smith, Jr. of Grandy, NC; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be Friday, November 5, 2004, at 2:00 PM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mitchell Edwards officiating. The family will be at the residence, 1703 West Main Street Extended Elizabeth City, NC. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E.
