Obituary of James Beasley

Colington, NC James Lewis Beasley, Jr., 74, of 1628 Colington Road, Kill Devil Hills, NC, died Wednesday, November 03, 2004. He was born in Colington to the late James Lewis Beasley, Sr. and the late Minnie Gaimel Beasley and was a retired commercial fisherman and former owner/operator of Beasley and Sons Fish Company for fourteen years. Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife, Edith Rogers Beasley of the residence; a daughter, Sandra Outlaw of Colington; three sons, Carson Lee Beasley, Gary Gene Beasley, and James Lewis Beasley, III all of Colington; a sister, Donis Parker of Colington; two brothers, Ralph and Billy Beasley both of Colington; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and five step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Eddie Lee Beasley. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Hilltop Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Pitsch. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the home of Carson and Kathy Beasley, 1440 Colington Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Edith Beasley, P.O. Box 1634, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 to help with funeral expenses.
