Obituary of Wilma C. Scarborough

Wanchese, NC Wilma Cudworth Scarborough, 81, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Wanchese and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Scarborough was the daughter of the late Vance and Ina Midgett Cudworth and the widow of Charles Lee Scarborough. She is survived by three daughters, Andrea ‘Andy’ S. Waits of Lake Landing, NC, Candace ‘Near’ Scarborough of Wanchese and Patty Callum of Manteo; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Cudworth Daniels of Wanchese and one brother, Louis Cudworth of Baltimore, MD; she was preceded in death by three sisters, Iris Midgett and Lois Saunders and Ina Burns Davis. A Celebration of Life will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Carroll Daniels and Rev. Holt Clarke officiating. The service will continue at Cudworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Friday, November 5, 2004 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
