Obituary of Margaret Halsey

Elizabeth City, NC Margaret Ambrose Halsey, age 76, of 897 Horseshoe Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, November 12, 2004, in Guardian Care Nursing Home. She was a native of Pasquotank County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Tom Ambrose and Ruth Bundy Ambrose. She was the wife of late Joseph Sylvester Halsey, and a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia H. Toler and her husband Edward, Tammy H. Williams and her husband Jimmy, all of Elizabeth City, NC, Brenda H. Privott and her husband David of Plymouth, NC; one son Thomas Joseph Halsey and his wife Charnell of Millford, OH; one sister, Faye A. Garrett of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Hubert Douglas Ambrose, Sr., and Dallas Reuben Ambrose both of Elizabeth City, NC; sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by one sister, Marian Ambrose, and one brother, Thomas Ambrose, Jr. A funeral service will be Sunday, November 14, 2004, at 3:00 PM in New Life Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Clay Manos, and Rev. Ron Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC. At other times the family will be at the residence of Patricia and Edward Toler, 1459 Nixonton Road, Elizabeth City, NC. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
