Obituary of Alverta B. Jackson

JACKSON Mrs. Alverta Bower Jackson departed her life on Friday, November 5, 2004 in Reno, Neveda. She was a civilian employee at the U.S. Naval Base In Fallon, Neveda where she retired. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Bowser Purvis and Cleon Tillett. She is survived by her husband, Richard Jackson of Hawthorne, Neveda; one sister, Louise Spencer of Manteo; two brothers, Delroy Bowser, Alton Tillett Sr., Mrs. Delma Meekins of Durham; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held in Neveda. A service will be held at Haven Creek Baptist Church, Manteo, on Thursday, November 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
