Obituary of Eddie L. Hooper

STUMPY POINT, NC EDDIE LEIGH HOOPER, 60, of Stumpy Point, NC, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in a Wayne County, NC hospital. Mr. Hooper, born in Norfolk, VA, was a Commercial Fisherman and was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was the son of Melva Wise Hooper of Stumpy Point, NC and the late Horace Brantley Hooper, Sr. Besides his mother, Mr. Hooper is survived by a daughter, Ellie Tate-Hooper, U.S. Air Force, Japan; a son, Sean Hooper of Manteo, NC; a brother, Horace B. Hooper, Jr. and wife, Verna of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and a niece, Amanda Hooper. Funeral services will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Stumpy Point, on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Debbie Grossman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
