Obituary of Marjorie Gilbert

Marjorie Reed Gilbert, 62, died Nov. 19, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Gilbert was born in Portsmouth to the late James and Anne Reed. Survivors include her husband, Harry Linwood Gilbert Jr.; daughters, Robyn Gilbert and Marion Gilbert of Chesapeake; sons, Harry L. “Skip” Gilbert III and wife Jennifer, Christopher Gilbert and fiancee Melanie Varney of Moyock, N.C.; grandson, Harry L. “Buddy” Gilbert IV; granddaughter, Savanna Gilbert; sister, Mary Sue Ford and husband Jim of Montclaire, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family. A graveside service will be held at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens Monday at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6430 Center Drive, Building 7, Suite 129, Norfolk, VA 23502; American Heart Association, P.O.
