Obituary of Sara Lewis

EC LEWIS Elizabeth City, NC Sara Kearns Lewis, 91, a former resident of Cary, Raleigh and Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, November 21, 2004, at the Winslow Memorial Home in Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. Lewis was born June 18, 1913, in Randolph County, and was the daughter of the late Charles E. Kearns and Elizabeth Margaret Thompson Kearns. She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev. Henry B. Lewis on January 19, 2004, and one sister Mattalene Kearns Luther. Survivors include two daughters, Ann L. Hill and her husband Bryan of Smithfield, NC, and Jean L. Beacham and her husband Terry of Elizabeth City, NC., one brother Charles E. Kearns, Jr., of Lexington, NC, and five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral graveside service will be held Tuesday November 23, 2004, at 1:00 P. M. at the Raleigh Memorial Park Cemetery, in Raleigh, NC, with Rev. Vernon Tyson officiating. The family will join friends following the graveside service.
