Obituary of James Cameron

EC CAMERON Elizabeth City, NC James Arthur Cameron, age 76, of 103 Christie Circle, Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, November 21, 2004, at his residence. He was a native of Birmingham, AL, and was son of the late Somner Cameron and Catherine Madison Cameron, and was the husband of Bernice Crawford Cameron of the residence. He was a retired First Class Petty Officer with the US Navy. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Deborah Woolridge and her husband Peter of Elizabeth City, NC; one sister, Lillian Willingham of Detroit, MI; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Saturday, November 27, 2004, at 11:00 AM in Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Cole officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC. At other times the family will be at the residence, 103 Christie Circle, Elizabeth City, NC. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
