Obituary of Rachel Oesting

Wanchese, NC Rachel Ellen Kelsey Oesting, 91, died Monday, November 29, 2004 at a Nags Head medical facility. Mrs. Oesting was born in Anderson, IN and was a retired public school teacher. She was Director of the Northern Indiana Guidance Counseling Service. Mrs. Oesting was the daughter of the late Guy Henry Kelsey and the late Cassie Ellen Wiltsie Kelsey and the widow of Ralph Beck Oesting. She is survived by one daughter, Sarah McLeod of Warren, RI; three sons, David Oesting of Anchorage, AK, Jon Oesting of Seattle, WA and Jim Oesting of Wanchese; one sister, Mary Hartman of Marian, IN; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Oesting will lay to rest at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
