Obituary of James Edward Gladden

Nags Head James Edward Gladden, 56, died November 27, 2004 at his residence in Nokomis, FL. Jim was born in Alexandria, VA and had been a resident of Nags Head since 1980 and was active in the family business at The Blue Heron Motel. He is survived by his parents, James Walter and Wilma Smith Gladden; one brother, Eric Gladden and one sister, Pamela Gladden, all of Nags Head. A funeral service will be held at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charles E.B. Gill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 1st from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nags Head Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 996, Nags Head, NC 27959. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
