Obituary of Catherine Reber

Wanchese, NC Catherine Payne Reber, 83, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Reber was born in Wanchese and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wanchese Assembly of God and was an active part of missions. Mrs. Reber was the daughter of the late Folger C. and Gwendolyn Herbert Payne Payne and the widow of the late John H. Reber. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Mason. She is survived by four daughters, Perline Getz of Lehighton, PA, Gwen Quidley of Manteo, Jeannie Girl Herrin of Picayune, MS, Cathy McPhee of Colington; four sons, Sonny Reber and David B. Reber, both of Wanchese, Crawford Reber of East Lake and Louie B. Reber of Manteo; one brother, Louie Payne and wife, Jean of Wanchese; thirty grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Freddie Reber and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wanchese Assembly of God on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Dr. David Dalton officiating. Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Twiford’s Funeral Home, Manteo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
