Obituary of Ruth Duncan

Ruth Williams Duncan, 92, formerly on South Mill, NC died Saturday, December 06, 2003, in the Guardian Care Nursing Home. She was born in Monroe, NC to the late Thomas A. and Lillie Preslar Williams and was the widow of the late James H. Duncan. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, South Mills, NC. Mrs. Duncan is survived by a daughter, Johnsie Duncan Harris of Chesapeake, a son, James H. Duncan, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, two brothers, Neal Williams and Ray Williams both of Monroe, NC, seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at 1:00pm in the Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City by Rev. Jim Kreep. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the service.
