Obituary of Ernestine Brandis

Avon, NC Ernestine Whedbee Price Brandis, 83, died on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at an Elizabeth City medical facility. Mrs. Brandis was born in Frisco and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brandis was the daughter of the late Albert Whedbee and the late Mary Austin Whedbee and was the wife of the late Ervin Price and later married Theodore Brandis of Avon. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Price and wife, Anitra of Dundee, NY and Danny Price and wife Jomi of Avon; three daughters; Bonnie Lister and husband, Buddy of Chesapeake, Agnes Sahler and husband Phil of Virginia Beach and Louise Peele also of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McClannan and Ada Nichols and one brother, Lewis Whedbee. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Susie Fitch-Slater officiating. Burial will take place in the family cemetery located on the North End Road. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, December 10th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Danny and Jomi Price, 40380 Hwy 12, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 442, Hatteras, NC 27943. Twiford’ s Island Chapel, Hatteras, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
