Obituary of Arany Hodges

Elizabeth City, NC Arany Everton Hodges, age 88, of Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 in the Albemarle Hospital. She was a born in Dare County, NC, daughter of the late Earl Everton and Lennie Payne Everton, and with the wife of the late John Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a Pentecostal. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Allen and her husband, Johnnie Ray of Elizabeth City, NC, and Diane Holt and her husband Fuzzy Wilmington, NC; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Hodges is predeceased by one son, Marvin Ray Hodges. A graveside service will be Thursday, December 11, 2003, at 11:00 AM in New Hollywood Cemetery. Twiford’s Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Betty and Johnnie Allen, 103 Jane Lane, Elizabeth City, NC.
