Obituary of Doris Scott

EC Scott Doris Riddick Scott Gates County Native Doris Riddick Scott, age 82, of 109 Dogwood Trail, Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, December 12, 2004 at the Albemarle Hospital. Mrs. Scott was a native of Gates County, NC; wife of Clarence Edward Scott of the residence, and the daughter of the late James Walter Riddick and Eunice Moore Riddick Craddock. She attended Berea Baptist Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Scott is survived by three daughters, Gloria T. Schnorr of Evans, CO, Shirley T. Trueblood of Elizabeth City, NC, and Sheila T. Gray of Rocky Mount, NC; a son, Deronda ‘Ronnie’ Temple, III, of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Ida R. Waff of Greenville, NC, and Gladys R. Temple of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Ralph Riddick of Sanford, NC; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Juanita R. Barnes and two brothers, Wallace Riddick and John L. Riddick. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 2:00 pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home following the service and at other times at the residence.
