Obituary of Alice Trueblood

Alice Jean W. S. Trueblood, 75, of Mt. Olive, NC and formerly of Griffin St. in Elizabeth City, NC died Friday, December 10, 2004 at Wayne County Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Davis T. and Rosalie Whitehead Whitehurst. Mrs. Trueblood was a retired beautician and a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Jean S. Crocker and husband, Douglas, of Mt. Olive, NC; a son, Davis Stillson of Chapel Hill, NC; a step son, Eddie Trueblood of Elizabeth City, NC; one sister, Rosabelle W. Twiford and husband, Russell, of Elizabeth City, NC; a brother, Tildon Whitehurst and wife, Norma Dean, of Hertford, NC. Also, she is survived by four grandchildren, Jeanna Crocker, Mandy Crocker both of Wilmington, NC, Allison Crocker of Greenville, NC and Mia Alex Stillson of Chapel Hill, NC; one step grandchild, Dorinda Kirby of Raleigh, NC; three sisters-in-law, Maxine Sites, Ruth Baker and Alma Cartwright all of Elizabeth City, NC. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Stillson. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to one’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends and relatives at Twiford’s Northside Chapel, 1115 N. Road St., Sunday, December 19, 2004, from 2:30 until 4:00pm.
